Stay safe at the Sydney Royal Easter Show with St John Ambulance NSW
St John Ambulance NSW has partnered with the Sydney Royal Easter Show as their official Health Services partner.
The partnership will see qualified St John Ambulance Event Responders, Health Care Professionals, Medical Officers, Nurses, Registered Paramedics and other supporting volunteers onsite with state-of-the-art equipment to provide first aid and event health services from 8.30am – 10.00pm every day of the show.
St John will be equipped across posts at:
- Giants Stadium (Medical Centre located at the Undercroft on New England Avenue)
- Kids Carnival (corner of Olympic Boulevard and Grand Parade)
- Carnival (next to Dog Judging Lawn near the entry to the Carnival)
- Fresh Food Dome (near the DOME café)
Members of the St John Bicycle Emergency Response Team (BERT) and Medicab Transport Team will also be present at the show, roaming the grounds to provide a rapid response to any patients who need assistance quickly.
This partnership sees a natural alignment of two not-for-profit organisations. Both the Royal Agricultural Society and St John Ambulance NSW are organisations driven by volunteers and the common goal of making a positive difference in their communities.
St John Ambulance NSW bring to the show volunteers from right across the state – including those in rural and regional areas who have continued to be on the frontline, helping communities stay safe in crises including the recent floods, bushfires and COVID-19 pandemic.
Sarah Lance, CEO of St John Ambulance NSW, said the organisation was proud to partner with the Royal Agricultural Society, and was looking forward to seeing the impact the two organisations can have together.
“We have supported the Sydney Royal Easter Show for many years. And we also support agricultural communities across the state. From the Hawkesbury Show to the Coffs Harbour Agricultural Show, our volunteers and members are proud to play a part in keeping attendees and staff safe at events right across the state – from rural and regional NSW to metropolitan Sydney.”
St John has provided event health and first aid services to the Sydney Royal Easter Show for decades, with St John volunteers coming from around NSW to be on duty every day and night of the show.
St John Ambulance NSW Commissioner, Ilan Lowbeer, said: “We look forward to seeing over 300 of our St John members come to support the Show this year.”
