FAQ

Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders) are individuals who have completed a Mental Health First Aid course, gaining the skills and confidence to recognise, understand, and respond to someone experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. They play a key role in workplaces, communities, schools, and universities, reducing stigma and promoting access to support.
No. MHFAiders are not therapists or counsellors, nor can they diagnose mental illnesses. They are trained to provide initial support to someone experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, and to promote pathways to professional help or other support.
