Our event medical services teams include trained responders, mobile rapid response units and healthcare professionals, supported by structured clinical governance and incident management capability.

St John event responders form the core of our event medical teams, providing visible on-site care and emergency response across event environments.

Our teams include qualified First Responders (Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response or equivalent) and Advanced Responders (Certificate III in Basic Health Care or equivalent).

Designed for rapid response, Bicycle Emergency Response Teams operate as roaming, mobile crews in environments where vehicle access is limited or large areas need to be covered quickly.

Teams operate in pairs and are staffed by accredited responders or healthcare professionals, equipped with first aid kits, oxygen and defibrillators.

St John healthcare professionals provide advanced clinical care where higher levels of medical support may be required.

Our accredited and registered clinicians include Enrolled Nurses, Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Extended Care and Intensive Care Paramedics, Doctors and specialists across a range of disciplines including critical care, supported by structured clinical governance and training.

St John provides experienced command and communications teams to support coordinated incident and emergency response at events.

Our commanders receive specialised training and integrate within your event’s command and control structure, operating through a dedicated statewide radio network to support effective coordination during major incidents, including mass casualty events.

St John teams are equipped with medical equipment to manage a wide range of patient presentations, from basic First Aid through to advanced clinical monitoring.

Equipment is selected based on the risk profile of your event and the scope of practice of the team assigned, ensuring responders are appropriately equipped to manage medical incidents on site.
