The Pulse – November – December 2025

Dear Team,

I was honoured to MC our recent Annual Awards Ceremony in November where we recognised and celebrated the extraordinary contributions of our members. I was inspired by the stories of courage, lives saved, and dedication to service that spanned decades. Whether it’s providing medical care at a community event, teaching first aid, or responding to an emergency, our members are the living proof of St John NSW’s impact.

2025 has represented a significant and historic milestone for St John as we celebrated the Centenary of Youth for St John Ambulance Australia that began at Glebe Cadet Division. The extraordinary legacy of our Youth Program continues to grow rapidly in our youth members of today many of whom from across NSW have responded in service, demonstrating their capability and leading with confidence.

Beyond celebrations and awards, 2025 saw several deployments of our teams in response to cyclones, floods and bushfires. From planned event coverage through to emergency response and natural disasters your readiness and compassion have made an impact in the community. With New Year’s Eve fast approaching, I know many of you will again give your time to keep the community safe during celebrations. Thank you for being Ready to Respond.

I wish everyone a safe and peaceful holiday season and look forward to seeing you in the new year.

We are the Medical Reserve. Ready To Respond.

A Decade of Dedicated Service

Looking Back and Looking Ahead

2025 was a milestone honouring 100 years of developing young leaders and nurturing generations of confident, compassionate volunteers. It has been a year full of celebrations, and now, we look ahead.
