Gain advanced knowledge and skills to respond to a range of First Aid situations. The course covers a broad range of advanced skills and provides you with high-level capabilities for managing large incidents, major trauma, sudden cardiac arrest and emotionally disturbed and drug affected casualties.
This course is appropriate for people who work in high risk areas, act as First Aiders for larger facilities or groups, or work in areas where help may be delayed or have difficulty accessing casualties.
2 days plus mandatory pre-work.
Those participants who have completed HLTAID011 Provide First Aid in the last year may be entitled to an exemption from the first day.
Pre-work is required.
If online mandatory pre-work is not completed prior to the course date, students will not be permitted to enter the class and will not receive certification.
We use a range of different methods to assess you, including written assessments and practical activities.
You must be able to perform CPR on the floor for 2 minutes on a manikin. You may need to pair up with another student to complete the practical exercises.
