This ANZAC Day, St John Ambulance NSW proudly stood alongside communities across the state to honour the sacrifices of those who served our country.
St John NSW supported 85 ANZAC ceremonies across the state, including the Sydney CBD ANZAC Day March. In the city, our medical teams were stationed at key locations such as Hyde Park South and along the parade route, with additional mobile, bicycle, and roaming emergency response units ensuring rapid and effective care as thousands gathered at dawn to reflect and honour.
Commissioner Ilan Lowbeer, with Marian Casey and Sally Fenton (Youth Leader of the Year), laid a wreath at the Cenotaph, representing St John NSW at the Central Sydney Dawn Service.
Many cadets also participated in the commemorations across NSW, standing in tribute to those who have come before them. Their presence reflected the continuity of service and the values that bind generations of Australians in remembrance and gratitude.
A sincere thank you to every volunteer, cadet, and staff member who gave their time and care to support this significant day. Your dedication embodies the heart of St John as we pay our respect to those whose legacy continues in our remembrance.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
